Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for Project Management, Installs, Troubleshooting, Diagnosing, and Repairing Commercial & Residential HVAC systems, Controls, Chilled Water Systems, Boilers, Variable Volume Air Systems, and DDC Controls at our customer locations.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2 to 6 years hands on Commercial HVAC Experience
  • EPA certification
  • Valid Driver’s License and Acceptable Driving Record
  • Very Solid Electrical and Mechanical Skills 
  • Extremely strong customer communication skills and ability to follow all customer work rules
  • Computer and Internet Skills

    Project Manager

    Primary Job Responsibilities

    • The Project Manager will be responsible for managing all active jobs from start to finish
    • Plan, Coordination and Execute kick-off meetings between General Contractor, Architect, Engineers, Electrician, Plumbers, Sprinklers, structural and Sub-Contractors
    • Ability to evaluate, track & create RFI's, change orders, submittals, project e-mails, plans, project logs, equipment release forms, transmittal's, scheduling of tasks, writing proposals, reviewing contracts, shop drawing logs and schedule of values. etc.
    • Daily correspondence or interaction to assist clients with providing services and information in timely fashion
    • Provide daily reports from job site visits and inspections for the purposes of work progress status and resolution to field issues
    • Maintain project work schedules, punch list forecast with profit margins
    • Perform survey inspections and estimate surveyed jobs (designed build & upgrades) to create Bid Proposals and in-house contract proposals
    • Manage project’s Sub-Contractors, project foreman/foremen per sub-trade, Technicians and Laborers
    • Monitor labor time and material, sub-contractor costs and budgets
    • Oversee all equipment installations and deliveries on site
    • Participates in project meetings, takes meeting minutes and distributes to all project team members in a timely fashion
    • Comprehensive knowledge of HVAC engineered design drawings, details, schedules, and specifications.
    • Overseeing all sequencing of installations for individual mechanical trades.

    Qualifications

    • Experience of at least 5 years of successfully managing various HVAC projects in a commercial/industrial environment.
    • Have the ability to communicate professionally and effectively with a variety of colleagues.

    Project Supervisor

    Primary Job Responsibilities

    • Coordinate with other trades, project managers, owners and employees
    • Dispatch/oversee workers
    • Manage time schedules, deadlines, budgets
    • Monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations
    • Assist the Project Executive and PM in planning and execution
    • Demonstrate the ability to achieve onsite dispute resolutions 
    • Responsible for managing day-to-day project activities. Under the supervision of a PM he/she is responsible for analyzing, monitoring, and preparing cost exposure reports and cash flow projections, maintaining comprehensive budgets, monitoring and maintaining schedules
    • Manages daily staff assignments and participate in monthly staff meetings
    • Assist in preparation of all RFP/bid packages and managing the bid process
    • Responsible for solicitation, evaluation and selection of the architect, other sub-contractors and the contractors
    • During the design management process, assist in the preparation of estimates and value engineering analysis, peer reviews and constructability reviews
    • Process all submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, substitution requests, change proposals and change orders
    • Assist in the preparation of daily, weekly, monthly reports that discuss, in detail, the status of the project

    Qualifications

    Project Estimator

    Primary Job Responsibilities

    • Reviews all bidding documents and establishes a complete understanding of scope of work being bid.
    • Visits work site, if practical, and becomes familiar with the actual working conditions for estimating purposes
    • Takes off all materials and prices same, identifies subcontractor involvement, solicits subcontractors and/or manufacturer prices and estimates direst field labor
    • Reviews print outs for any glaring discrepancies, errors and omissions
    • Must be accurate, possess keen attention to detail, and proactive in pointing out potential issues.
    • Prepares complete front sheet for project with list or quotes prices and undiscounted labor calculated thereon
    • Reviews front sheet with President and/or VP of Estimating and or designated Executive, identifies any problems that need clarification, qualification or exception
    • Implements discounts established during review and applies designated markup to adjusted net estimated cost (Value Engineering)
    • Prepares and oversees completing of bid form documents and/or proposal letters
    • Participates in any contract negotiations with client that involves scope of work and estimated quantities or values. Then once the bid and contract is awarded and accepted
    • Assist President in breaking down the total project estimate into identified cost codes using accounting format for formal computerized cost control implementation
    • Assist field staff in man loading progress and manpower schedules utilizing discounted labor units used in obtaining contract, if necessary
    • Assist field staff in breaking project down into dollar values to be used for billing purposes
    • Assist purchasing agent in procuring the equipment and subcontracted services to insure that all conditions of contract documents are identified/accounted for
    • Maintain effective communication between distributors, customers and field personnel.
    • Ability to work under pressure; work with multiple deadlines and within a team environment to best achieve excellent and timely results.
    • Verify change orders from subcontractors and provide in-house pricing.
    • Prepare quotations, submittals, product sizing, and follow-up, enter orders as required, administer change orders, support field personnel and other duties as assigned by the project manager.

    Qualifications

    • Prepare bids; provide technical product and application expertise along with inside sales support to commercial customers.
    • The ideal professional would be able to read and interpret plans & specifications and assemble the estimate based off of the plans.
    • 2 years of direct experience with estimating and/or sales of large Commercial HVAC projects.
    • Previous experience with Plan/Spec, Negotiated, and Design-Build projects.
    • Skilled in PC usage and associated software including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).
    • Ability to work quickly and change direction as needed; responding to fast turnaround times a must.
    • Some project management experience a plus.

    Pipe Fitter

    Primary Job Responsibilities

    • Experienced pipe fitter for commercial/residential installations and repairs of HVAC equipment and piping systems for heating hot water, steam, chilled, condenser water, refrigerant and condensate drain piping up to 12"

    Qualifications

    • Operate equipment such as lifts, beader crimper, brakes, shears, and hand tools.
    • Coordinate installation with other trades for efficiency.
    • Inventory and order material as needed.
    • Works well with others.
    • Position Requirements: General knowledge of materials and installation experience
    • Ability to work in lifts and ladders (safety equipment provided where required).
    • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
    • Ability to work in various environments - cold, hot, tunnels, roof-tops.

    HR/Payroll Clerk

    Primary Job Responsibilities

    • Answers telephone calls
    • Performs ongoing administrative tasks such as setting up meetings and reserving conference room
    • Prepare employee benefit paperwork
    • Interact and assist employees with general HR questions
    • Act as main connection to external payroll service providers
    • Execute year-end payroll activity
    • Help manage process with field production staff
    • Execute the administration of payroll-related procedures for all employees
    • Maintain employee records in all HR systems; ensure that employee changes are entered correctly and made on a timely basis; ensure accuracy of payroll data in our data base
    • Maintains employee-related data bases. Prepares and analyzes reports that are necessary to carry out the functions of the department and company> prepares periodic reports for management, as requested
    • Manage payroll vendors and payroll interfaces to benefits providers
    • Prepare file tax reports, gather payroll data for inclusion in financial statements
    • Assist finance with reconciling payroll related and general ledger accounts
